Drum roll, please!

01 Feb

Last week I posted another High Five Friday!! on this blog. Several writers celebrated accomplishments and announced their good news. At the end I teased you with an announcement I planned to make this week. Actually, right now.

One of my writing goals for this year was to add to my “Guest Blogger Resume.” I hoped to discover at least a half-dozen bloggers who found my wit and wisdom worthy of hosting on their sites. Ha! God is amazing! He took my doable little goal and multiplied it by ? percent. (Math has never been my strong suit.)

In the early part of January, I received an invitation to join the ladies at Seriously Write, contributing a post every Wednesday. This awesome blog is aimed at helping others along their writing journey. This is a tremendous opportunity for me to work with friends and well-respected women in the Christian writing community, and I’m excited to get started.

SeriouslyWrite

My posts will run on Wednesdays, with the first being an introduction on February 6. I’m calling the day A Writer’s Wisdom Wednesdays, but it’s not my wisdom you’ll read—most of the time. I’ll be asking other published and unpublished writers for their experience regarding certain aspects of the business. The first Wednesday of the month will focus on research, the second on marketing, the third on creativity, and the fourth on organization/business. Writers will share what they’ve learned about such things as craft, research sources, social media, and how to better organize your time.

Annette Irby, Dawn Kinzer, Angie Arndt, and Dora Hiers do a wonderful job with the rest of the week. So I hope you’ll join us over at Seriously Write. And I’ll still be blogging here on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Do you have a writing question we might tackle on A Writer’s Wisdom Wednesdays?

P. S. – I’d already been scheduled to be a guest blogger on Dora Hiers day. So my post “Are You Ready for a New BFF?” appeared on the blog yesterday.

Congrats! You do so much for other writers. You deserve a broader audience. Can’t wait to check out the new site. Sounds right up my alley. :)

Yes, she is! We’re thrilled to have her join us and can’t wait to read some of the posts she’s planned.

Yay!! Welcome to Seriously Write, Sandy!! High five! I’m looking forward to being inspired and encouraged by your A Writer’s Wisdom Wednesdays. Your photo captures the day’s theme ~ your pose looks so “wisdomly.” Great to have you with us, Sandy. :-)
