Review: A Man to Trust

02 Feb

Love Inspired has released a new Carrie Turansky romance. A Man to Trust is one of those stories to take with you to a comfortable chair, slump down, and read to your heart’s content.

Adrie has suffered through betrayal and rejection. Because of it, she ‘s lost her ability to trust strangers, especially good looking strangers. Her dream is to be a symphony flutist, but before she can go after it, she must help her grandmother find a manager to run her Christian bookstore. Ross is an outgoing and appealing man eager to prove to his father he can be successful as a photographer. But a bad economy has forced him to close his photography studio and look for work elsewhere. When Adrie’s grandmother hires him to manage the bookstore, it becomes more than a temporary way to make money.

This was the second in a series, the first being Seeking His Love, but it stood alone without making the reader feel lost. One of the things I really liked about this book was the point in which one of the characters makes a sacrifice for the good of the other. It reminded me of O Henry’s story The Gift of the Magi—one of my all-time favorites.

While Ross struggles to prove his love is solid, Adrie must decide if she truly has found A Man to Trust. Settle in for some pure romance and give Carrie’s new book a read.

Nice review, Sandy. What an appropriate story line for today’s economy. I’ll have to load it on my kindle. Sounds perfect for a cold wintry evening, snuggling into the couch in front of a glowing fireplace and sipping a cup of hot chocolate, don’t you think? I can’t wait! Thanks for sharing!
